Accounts Receivable Specialist | Lakewood, NJ $65,000 $75,000 About the Role: A growing company in Lakewood is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounts Receivable, you'll work closely together on day-to-day AR operations. This is a great fit for someone looking to grow their AR career hands-on training is provided. Key Responsibilities: AR Operations Process and apply customer payments accurately and reconcile accounts Follow up on past-due balances and keep collection notes current Research and resolve account and transaction discrepancies across multiple systems Keep customer and account records accurate in QuickBooks and Salesforce Prepare AR reports and spreadsheets as needed Support Support the Director of AR with special projects and daily operations Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related accounting role Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online preferred) Proven experience communicating with customers about balances and collections firm but tactful, while keeping the relationship strong Able to work on-site Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Drive) Strong spreadsheet skills, including filtering, sorting, and basic formulas Excellent attention to detail and organization Strong problem-solving and investigative skills, connecting information across systems to resolve account questions Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and AR terminology (aging, credits, reconciliations) Preferred: Experience with Salesforce Background in healthcare or B2B service billing Comfortable using AI tools in daily work drafting communications, summarizing information, speeding up research Schedule: Monday Thursday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM 1:00/2:00 PM Interested?
