AP & AR Specialist
Position Overview
A growing retail and e-commerce organization is seeking an experienced AP/AR Specialist to join its accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, reconciling vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and partnering with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues.

Responsibilities
Process day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions from entry through payment and collection
Reconcile vendor invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, billing issues, and payment exceptions
Reconcile vendor statements and account balances
Maintain accurate financial records, spreadsheets, reports, and supporting documentation
Ensure accounting files and records remain organized and audit-ready
Partner with buyers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve invoicing and payment concerns
Monitor account activity and identify irregularities, discrepancies, or outstanding issues
Support special projects, reporting initiatives, and process improvement efforts
Assist with additional accounting and finance functions as needed
Qualifications
1-3+ years of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience
Experience reconciling vendor accounts and resolving invoice discrepancies
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions
Experience working with ERP systems or accounting software
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in financial data
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable learning new systems and processes
Accounting, Finance, or Business degree preferred but not required
Desire to build a long-term career in accounting and grow into a Staff Accountant role
Compensation & Benefits
$85,000-$100,000 salary based on experience
