Bookkeeper Location: Brooklyn, NY Schedule: Full-Time | In-Office Salary: $80,000–$100,000 DOE Position Overview A growing company is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting & Treasury Specialist to work closely with the Controller and handle day-to-day accounting, banking, treasury, and Accounts Payable functions. This is a hands-on position for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of accounting responsibilities from start to finish. Responsibilities Handle monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts Perform credit card reconciliations and investigate missing or unsupported charges Assist with daily banking activity and cash management Manage Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and payments Review AP aging and assist with payment scheduling Maintain accurate bookkeeping and general ledger records Research and resolve accounting and reconciliation discrepancies Support positive pay and other banking controls Maintain cash schedules and monitor upcoming cash requirements Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Maintain organized documentation for banking, AP, credit cards, and accounting transactions Assist the Controller with audits, bank requests, and other accounting projects as needed Qualifications Solid bookkeeping/accounting experience Strong experience with bank and credit card reconciliations Hands-on Accounts Payable experience Good understanding of general ledger accounting Experience with cash management or treasury is a plus Strong Excel skills Ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies Highly organized and able to manage recurring deadlines Comfortable working with multiple entities and accounts Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be hands-on and able to take ownership of daily accounting responsibilities
